This Pay on Delivery Policy (“Policy”) governs all orders made under the Pay on Delivery (“POD”) option provided by Trocmart Limited (“the Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) through our official website
https://trocmart.com
and our WhatsApp checkout system.
By placing a Pay on Delivery order with Trocmart, you (“the Buyer,” “Customer,” or “you”) agree to comply with the terms and conditions stated herein, in addition to our Terms of Service and Refund & Return Policy.
1. Overview of Pay on Delivery
Pay on Delivery (POD) allows Trocmart customers to reserve an item by paying a
Commitment Fee (which also serves as the delivery fee) and completing payment after
physical inspection at a designated pickup location.
This system promotes trust, filters out unserious buyers, and protects our sellers from fraudulent or fake orders.
2. Commitment Fee (Delivery Fee)
- The Buyer must pay a Commitment Fee before an order can be processed or dispatched.
- This Commitment Fee also serves as the delivery fee for sending the item to the nearest pickup location.
- The fee is dynamic — it varies based on the Buyer’s location and is determined by Trocmart’s logistics partners.
- The Commitment Fee will be deducted from the total order value upon successful payment and collection at the pickup point.
- The Commitment Fee is non-refundable, except where Trocmart or the Seller fails to deliver the ordered item.
- Failure by the Buyer to appear for collection or complete payment results in forfeiture of the Commitment Fee and may lead to restriction from future Pay on Delivery orders.
3. Order Confirmation and Changes
- Once a Pay on Delivery order has been confirmed via WhatsApp checkout, no changes can be made to the product selection, quantity, pickup location, or contact details.
- Buyers are responsible for verifying all order information before confirming their order with Trocmart’s sales representative on WhatsApp.
4. Delivery and Pickup Process
- Trocmart does not offer doorstep delivery for Pay on Delivery orders.
- All POD orders will be delivered to a designated pickup location closest to the Buyer, as communicated by Trocmart’s delivery partner.
- The Buyer will be notified via WhatsApp or phone call once the order arrives at the pickup location.
- The Buyer (or a trusted representative) must:
- Inspect the item(s) in the presence of Trocmart’s delivery partner.
- Pay the remaining balance before taking possession of the item(s).
- Inspection is limited to confirming the correct item, condition, and specifications as advertised. Extended testing or tampering is not allowed.
- Once full payment is made at the pickup point, the transaction is complete and final.
5. Buyer Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and up-to-date contact and pickup information during checkout.
- Respond promptly to communications from Trocmart or delivery partners.
- Arrive at the pickup location at the scheduled time for inspection and payment.
- Act in good faith and refrain from placing false or unserious orders.
- Bear any additional costs due to late pickup, failed collection, or rescheduling.
6. Failed Pickup or Non-Payment
- If the Buyer fails to appear at the pickup location, refuses to pay after inspection, or defaults on the order, the Commitment Fee (Delivery Fee) will be forfeited in full.
- Trocmart reserves the right to deny future Pay on Delivery privileges or require full prepayment from Buyers with repeated failed or fraudulent orders.
- If Trocmart is unable to fulfill an order due to stock unavailability or logistics constraints, the Commitment Fee will be refunded in full to the Buyer.
7. Refunds and Returns
- Once full payment is made and the Buyer has collected the item(s), the sale is considered final.
- Any return or exchange request after collection will be handled strictly under Trocmart’s Refund & Return Policy.
- The Commitment Fee is non-refundable, except where Trocmart fails to deliver the item as ordered.
8. Fraud Prevention and Security
- Trocmart reserves the right to verify the identity of any Buyer before confirming a Pay on Delivery order.
- Orders that appear suspicious or inconsistent with normal buying patterns may be declined or cancelled.
- Trocmart may take appropriate legal action against fraudulent or deceptive activity involving the Pay on Delivery option.
9. Limitation of Liability
- Buyer’s failure to appear at the pickup location;
- Buyer’s refusal to pay after inspection;
- Delays caused by third-party logistics partners; or
- Incorrect information provided by the Buyer.
10. Policy Updates
Trocmart reserves the right to amend, modify, or discontinue this Policy at any time without prior notice.
Updates take effect immediately upon being posted on
https://trocmart.com.
11. Governing Law
This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the
Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising under or in connection with this Policy
shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
